Uploading a Video to YouTube
Sometimes a Module Activity will involve making a video. We recommend that students upload their video to the YouTube platform and then copy-paste the URL link into a Word Document and upload this into the submission area. For further information on this, please see:

But How Do You Upload a Video Onto YouTube?
Uploading a Video to YouTube is easy with these steps:
Upload via Web Browser
- Sign in to YouTube
- Log in at YouTube with your Google account.
- Ensure you’re signed in to the correct account (check via the profile icon at the top right).
- Upload Your Video
- Click the camera icon (?) > Upload Video.
- Drag and drop or select your video file.
- Recommended file format: MP4 (H.264 video codec / AAC audio codec). Convert files here.
- Add Video Details
- Enter a title and description.
- Choose or upload a thumbnail.
- Indicate if the video is suitable for children.
- Set Video Visibility
- Unlisted – Recommended (only accessible via the link).
- Public – Visible to everyone.
- Private – Only accessible to selected viewers.
- Publish Your Video
- Click Done, then copy the video link.
- Paste the link into a Word document and submit it via Moodle.
Upload via YouTube Mobile App
- Open YouTube App & Sign In
- Tap the + icon > Upload a Video.
- Grant access to your phone’s media if prompted.
- Select & Upload Video
- Choose your video > Tap Next.
- Add Details
- Enter a title and description.
- Optionally, add a location or playlist.
- Set Visibility & Upload
- Unlisted – Recommended (only accessible via the link).
- Public – Anyone can view.
- Private – Restricted access.
- Select Upload to finish.
After you have completed your video, you can copy and paste the video URL code onto a Word document, and upload it to your assignment portal.
